Projects in Construction

Pics of ProjectsThe list of projects below are the current capital improvement projects in construction. When improvement projects directly impact a neighborhood, project construction newsletters are circulated to area residents as well as available online to keep residents informed of progress, weather delays, road closures, etc. When possible, Adopt-A-Spot opportunities are made available to residents via constructed capital projects.

  • Lowenbach Neighborhood Streets Improvements
  • King & Loudoun Streets Mast Arm Installation (spring 2008 completion)
  • South King & Fairfax Streets Traffic Calming (completed) - As part of a distinguished landscaping design by the Historic District Residents Association (HDRA) for the southern entrance to the Historic District, a brick perimeter was installed in the median.  The HDRA “green space” adopters planted a tree that will soom be followed by perennials and the installation of a Historic District gateway sign.  Keep watching for the attractive transformation of the Town’s streetscape in the months ahead.
