Historic Downtown

North King Street in Historic Downtown LeesburgFrom the beautifully crafted brick sidewalks to the area’s amazing historic architecture, every detail of the Leesburg's Historic Downtown speaks to you with its rich history. Downtown is home to many unique shops, outstanding restaurants and signature events, like the Acoustic on the Green summer concert series and the annual Flower & Garden Festival.  There truly is something for everyone.

On the First Friday of each month (except January), downtown comes alive late into the evening with music, art, shopping and more.  Sponsored by the Leesburg Downtown Business Association and the Loudoun Arts Council , First Friday is a cherished tradition among locals and a wonderful discovery for visitors.

The Leesburg Downtown Business Association (link above) and the Leesburg Antiques & Collectibles Dealers Association frequently hold special shopping events throughout the year.

Don't miss the 20th Annual Flower and Garden Festival on Saturday, April 17 and Sunday, April 18, 2010.  Leesburg's Historic Downtown will once again be in full bloom as over 100 vendors display their landscape designs, gardening supplies, outdoor living items, plants, flowers, herbs and so much more!  A variety of food, music, children's entertainmenta and crafts will also be on hand for this two day event.  The event runs from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday.

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of this  popular event, several additions have been made including expansion of the footprint to include one block of Wirt Street, a Demonstration Stage featuring "how-to" presentations on a myriad of topcs and a Wine Garden offering a taste of Loudoun County's best wineries and breweries. For more information about Town-sponsored events in the Historic Downtown, please visit the Leesburg Parks & Recreation Department's Festivals & Community Events page.
