Yard waste is now collected on your trash day AND recycling day - it must be in brown paper yard waste bags or loose in a trash can with a "yard waste" sticker - no plastic bags will be collected! Brush is collected by the Street Maintenance Division - please visit our Brush Collection page for information on how to prepare tree limbs and branches for pickup.
The additional yard waste collection day will end September 28th for residents in the NW/NE and September 27th for residents in the SW/SE. After this date, yard waste will ONLY be collected on your regular recycling day.
Residential Trash/Recycling Schedule
- SW & SE Quadrants (includes South King St. and W. Market St.)
- Trash: Monday
- Recycling: Thursday
- NW & NE Quadrants (includes North King St.)
- Trash: Tuesday
- Recycling: Friday
***NOTE***Per Town Code, refuse must be placed at the curb before 4:00am the day of pickup,
but no earlier than 4:00pm the day prior to pickup! Recycling must be placed at the
curb before 6:00am the day of pickup, but no earlier than 4:00pm the day prior to pick up!
Curbside Commercial Schedule
- Trash: Monday*, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday* & Saturday mornings
- Recycling: Thursday & Saturday mornings
* Monday AM & Friday AM trash pickup for downtown curbside Historic District only.
Historic District trash cannot be placed out for collection until 4:00pm on Sunday for Monday’s pickup and 9:00pm on Friday for Saturday’s pickup.
