YOU ARE INVITED! Crescent Design District Open House - April 30, 3013
On March 1, 2013, the new Crescent Design District zoning regulations became effective. To help property and business owners, residents, and the development community understand these new provisions, the Leesburg Planning and Zoning staff invites you to an Open House on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Ida Lee Recreation Center, Lower Level Meeting Room, Leesburg. The Open House will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Staff will be available during this informal session to provide an overview of the new ordinance. Stations will be set up with illustrations showing the various aspects of the ordinance. Staff will be at each station to provide explanations, answer questions, and discuss the ordinance. All are invited to explore the new opportunities afforded under the ordinance for residential and business development.

Crescent Design District is in effect as of March 1, 2013
The Crescent Design District amendments to The Official Zoning Map and The Zoning Ordinance are now in effect. These amendments were originally adopted by the Town Council on January 8, 2013 with a delayed effective date of March 1, 2013. The result of these amendments is the approved Crescent Design District encompassing approximately 428 acres and 215 lots in an area generally along E. Market Street, Catoctin Circle and South King Street north and west of the Route 7/15 Bypass. Properties in this area have been remapped from B-1, B-2, B-3, R-6, and PRN to Crescent Design District, proscribing new uses in accordance with the Crecent Design District Map.
