Chesapeake Bay TMDL project information from Fiscal Year 2018 Budget (Project No. 15304)

Project Description: The Town is required to implement a Chesapeake Bay TMDL (Total Maximum Daily Load) Action Plan to meet the nitrogen, phosphorus, and sediment reduction requirements put in place by the Department of Conservation and Recreation. Projects will include, but are not limited to: wet and dry pond rehabilitations, right-of-way improvements, storm filters, etc.
The project includes retrofitting the Greenway Farm, Foxridge and Stratford stormwater management ponds to provide additional pollutant removal. These retrofits include adding forebays, constructed wetlands, micro-pools, and/or extended detention facilities to the ponds.

As of March 2, 2018 - A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held with the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy at Foxridge Park on Saturday, May 5th from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.
The contractor has completed all three ponds (Greenway Farm, Foxridge and Stratford). Punch list work is underway.
The Town applied for and received $394,174 in Department of Environmental Quality grant funding for Fiscal Year 2015 from the Storm Water Local Assistance Fund Grant (SLAF).
