Environmental Advisory Commission

The Environmental Advisory Commission (EAC) is 7 members appointed by the Town Council to make recommendations for approval to promote and protect the environmental interests of the Town. The EAC meets the 4th Thursday of every month at 7pm in the 2nd floor conference room of Town Hall.

1. The John W. Tolbert, Jr., Environmental Achievement Awards Program – recognizing students,
    community groups, and businesses that conduct or participate in activities that benefit the
    Town’s environment (awarded in  the spring)
2. Keep Leesburg Beautiful – the springtime Town-wide litter clean up campaign (April)
3. The Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival (3rd weekend of April)
4. Rain Barrel Workshops (periodic)
5. Recommendations and Reports to the Planning Commission and Town Council (periodic)
6. Family Stream Day (October)
7. National Recycling Day (November)
