Residents wishing to dispose of electronics such as computers, monitors, TV’s, cell phone and other items have several options.
Loudoun County’s Office of Solid Waste Management generally hosts 2 electronics recycling events per year – one in the spring and one in the fall. The events are on Saturdays and are usually held at the Telos Corporation site in Ashburn. Please visit their recycling website for additional information on acceptable items and future event schedules.
In addition, Electronics Recycling is now available at local Best Buy Stores!
Customers may bring up to two (2) items for recycling per household at no charge to Best Buy stores in Leesburg and Sterling, VA. Items accepted include computers and computer peripherals (keyboard, mouse, etc.), computer monitors and TV's with screen size up to 32" diagonal, cell phones, digital cameras, and other electronic devices. Limit two units per household per day. Items that cannot be accepted include TVs/computer monitors with screen size over 32" diagonal, console TV's, air conditioners, microwave ovens, and appliances.
