No Trash or Yard Waste Collection in Leesburg on New Year’s Day

Leesburg, VA (December 29, 2017) – There will be no trash or yard waste collection in the Town of Leesburg on New Year’s Day, Monday, January 1, 2018.

Residential customers in the Southeast and Southwest quadrants of town will have yard waste only collected on Tuesday, January 2.

For residential customers in the Northeast and Northwest quadrants of town, there are no changes to trash or yard waste collection. All of these items will be collected on Tuesday, January 2, as usual.

For curbside commercial customers, there will be no trash collection on New Year’s Day. Trash and recycling will be collected for curbside commercial customers on Tuesday, January 2, as usual.

The Department of Public Works & Capital Projects offers automatic email and text notifications of changes to trash, yard waste and recycling collection schedules. Customers can sign up to receive these notifications at www.leesburgva.gov/subscribe.  

The Leesburg Town Offices will be closed on Monday, January 1, 2018, in observance of the New Year’s holiday.
