Leesburg Commission on Public Art Issues Call to Artists for New Installation of Sculptures in Raflo Park
Five new sculptures will be installed in June 2018 and remain on display through June 2020.
Leesburg, VA (December 4, 2017) – The Leesburg Commission on Public Arts invites submissions for the second round of sculpture installations in ArtsPARKs, the outdoor sculpture garden in Raflo Park.
Five works of art will be selected for the 2-year installation period, which will begin in June 2018 and run through June 2020. Sculptures must be available for the entire display period and be for sale. Artists or artist teams will receive an honorarium of $1,000 per sculpture. Submission deadline is 5:00 p.m. on February 1, 2018.
A panel of three regional artists will review the submissions and select the five sculptures to be displayed. Artists will be notified by February 15, 2018. Sculptures will be installed in June 2018 and unveiled in a ceremony on June 30, 2018.
