Leesburg Employees Receive Service Awards
Staff members recognized for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years of service.
Leesburg, VA (June 16, 2017) – Yesterday, the Town of Leesburg held its annual employee service awards, honoring 42 full and part-time staff members for their years of service to the Town.
Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burk stated, “On behalf of Town Council, I appreciate all the hard work that Town employees provide to maintain Leesburg as a great place to live and work.” She added, “Each department contributes to the charm and character of Leesburg with dedication and commitment to doing the best they can for the community."
Fourteen employees received 5-year awards, nineteen received 10-year awards, and six received 15-year awards. In the Public Works & Capital Projects Management Department, Streets Division employee, Ricky Cooper, received his 20-year award and Timothy Mabe from the Fleet Maintenance Division received his 25-year award. Receiving recognition for 30 years of service in the Utilities Department was Herb Gallahan, Deputy Maintenance Manager, of the Utility Maintenance Division.
